From the Principal's Desk...
Dear Parents and Caregivers
We are very proud of our students' efforts across the school in the various learning opportunities that they are provided with and participate in. There is always something happening at St Helena's!
With just over 3 weeks of school days remaining, it is important that we keep the momentum going and encourage our students to remain focused for each day and engaged in their learning. Please continue to assist your child/ren with being ready for each day of learning and continue to encourage healthy habits, plenty of sleep, a healthy breakfast and being punctual to school at 8:15am.
Our Year 1 and Year 2 students have very much been enjoying swimming lessons and have been very responsible, well done to all our students and thank you to the staff for your efforts in assisting before and after swimming and at the pool.
Good luck to our Year 5 who will be attending the Summer carnival and representing SHCPS in cricket, tennis and ultimate frisbee. Thank you in advance to the staff and parent helpers on the day.
Important Dates Coming Up...
Wednesday 22 November @ 10:00am and 4:00pm - Kindergarten 2024 Orientation
Thursday 23 November @ 6:00pm - Annual Community AGM
Friday 24 November - P&F Disco
Friday 1 December - Carols Night (Christmas Concert)
I encourage our parents/carergivers to consider joining the P&F Executive with positions that require filling in 2024. Please come and see me to discuss, if you have any questions about these roles. Nomination information has previously been sent out via email. A great opportunity to get involved and contribute! It would also be great to see at least one family member at the School's Annual Community Meeting on Thursday 23 November, to hear about the year that was at SHCPS and some of the plans for 2024 as well!
Thank you in advance to the P&F Committee and the parent helpers who will be assisting on the night of the Disco next Friday evening. It is not too late to purchase your tickets!
A reminder that we have a St Helena's Catholic Primary School led Family Mass this Saturday evening at 6:00pm at St Helena of the Holy Cross Church. Thanks in advance to Miss Panaia and the choir for leading the hymn singing. All welcome!
