WEEK 2
Blessed by another bluebird day.
Learning cross-country skiing is a journey that builds far more than just physical skills. It involves mastering key attributes such as balance, controlled turning and stopping, and stride technique—just to name a few. But beyond the technical aspects, it’s a powerful opportunity for personal growth.
As students and teachers navigate the challenges of snowsports together, they experience a deep sense of achievement. Facing new skills head-on fosters courage and teaches students to relax, lean into the challenge, and embrace the process. It’s not just about individual progress—it’s about teamwork too. Encouraging classmates, sharing tips, and celebrating each other’s efforts builds a supportive learning environment.
Resilience is one of the most valuable lifelong skills, and cross-country skiing offers countless chances to practice it: keep trying, fall and get back up, and push through the tough moments. These experiences also nurture leadership—learning a skill can spark a passion that leads students to become future coaches, mentors, or enthusiastic supporters of the sport.
In the snow, students don’t just learn to ski—they learn to grow.
WEEK 3
Yesterday while it rained in the valley, our students enjoy some snow falling during their lessons.
The Hoppet - Joey Race
