Prep - This term, students will be focusing on physical sciences and learning about how different things move. In lesson five, students were introduced to the Tale-Bot Pro robots. They had the opportunity to investigate how the different direction buttons moved the robot, and even saw the robots dance.

Grades 1 - This term, students will be focusing on digital technologies and learning to program the Tale-Bot Pro robot. In lesson five, students started working on their second challenge - navigating the robot around a Town. They are required to follow the roads and move the robot to different locations. When successful, students need to write down their code using the correct arrows.

Grades 2 - This term, students will be focusing on digital technologies and learning to program the Tale-Bot Pro robot. In lesson five, students started working on their second challenge - navigating the robot to different shaped foods. Students are required to identify all foods of the same shape, plan their code, test their code and then document their code when they have been successful.

Grades 3 - This term, students will be focusing on digital technologies and learning to program the VinciBot robot. In lesson five, students learned how to program the VinciBot to light up its LEDs. They learned how to change the LED colours and turn them on and off. Students were required to build a code on their computer to follow a set path and create different LED displays.

Grades 4 - This term, students will be focusing on digital technologies and learning to program the VinciBot robot. In lesson five, students learned about the VinciBot robot's colour sensors. These sensors can detect different colours in the robot's path, allowing us to build codes where the robot will perform different actions for different colours.

Grades 5 - This term, students will be focusing on digital technologies and learning to program a micro:bit. In lesson five, students continued to work on their emergency message for a natural disaster. Finished messages were checked against the specified criteria and students were asked to review and change their code where criteria was not met.

Grades 6 - This term, students will be focusing on digital technologies and learning to program a micro:bit. In lesson five, students continued working on their Build a Robot challenge. This week's goal was to finish building their code and have their robot features work with the micro:bit.
