News and Notices

Book Week
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our love of reading throughout our recent Book Week. Events included: an author visit by Brenda Matthews; Stop, Drop and Read; Chalk it (children wrote their favourite book on the concrete) and dressing up for Book Character Day (thank you parents and carers). Students and staff looked sensational in their book character costumes and the themed decorations around the school created awe and excitement!
Thank you to our P&C for running our Book Fair and all the fabulous volunteers who helped!
NAIDOC Week
Prep - Year 6 students participated in NAIDOC activities in their classrooms. Students in Year 1 - Year 6 attended a NAIDOC Indigenous Performance led by Dion Drummond.
Awards Ceremony
Earlier in the term, we held our awards ceremony for Semester 1 student recognition Years 3 - 6.
Congratulations to the many students who received an award and thank you to all parents and carers who were able to attend to help celebrate their student’s success. Thank you to James Hill, P&C President, for attending as a special guest and helping to congratulate award recipients.
Dental Van
The Dental Van is currently onsite at our campus. Details about how to book have been provided to parents and carers via ClassDojo.
Tally Expo
We are very excited about our major event, Tally Expo, later this term. Tally Expo will showcase student learning from Prep to Year 6, highlighting ways children can make a positive difference in the world. Parents and caregivers will be invited and informed of details via ClassDojo.
Father’s Day Stall
One of the many ways that our P&C supports our school families is by running our annual Father’s Day stall. Vouchers are now on sale via Qkr until Friday 29 August (unless sold out prior). The stall will be cash free so please order a voucher by the due date if you would like your child to get a gift from the stall. Due to the need to organise gifts and vouchers, late purchases of vouchers will not be possible.
The stall will be held in the week before Father’s Day and vouchers will be delivered to classrooms prior to the stall visits.
If families are going through a financially difficult time, they are welcome to call Donna in our office by 27 August to let us know, so that we can see how we may be able to assist in relation to Father’s Day.
Thank you to our wonderful P&C volunteers for their hard work making this opportunity possible for our students!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and other special adults in the lives of our students for Sunday 7 September!
Prep 2026
If you haven’t already submitted your child’s enrolment paperwork for Prep next year, please do this as soon as possible so that you can be added to the invitation list for important pre-Prep events.
P&C Meeting
The next P&C meeting is scheduled for Friday 12 September at 9:00am in the Library.
Collaborative Planning
In week 9, teaching teams will be provided additional time off class, working with our Curriculum Leaders to coordinate the educational programs and assessment for next term. This ensures that we have a high level of consistency and quality planning across all year levels.
