Carlton Respects Program - Road to Respect

On Friday 8 August the Year 3/4 students participated in the Carlton Football Club's Road to Respect program. This program is aimed at educating students about respect and equality, through a digital platform and interactive activities. The program focused on the topics of Managing our Emotions, Values and Respect, and Stereotypes.

Our facilator, Georgia, was joined by AFLW players, Erone Fitzpatrick and Steph Demeo. Who gave the students a unique and current lense on these topics in their careers as football players. The program aligns with the RRRR curriculum and included valuable education around managing emotions, being a buddy, gender stereotypes, values, and respect. All critical lessons that have a lasting impact to help prevent disrespectful cultures and behaviours down the track.

Positive Behaviour for Learning - PBL

The students have been focusing on learning the value of Respect: I follow the agreed rules of the game and play fairly. In classrooms the students have been learning about how we can be a good sport and repect everyone when playing a game. We encourage students to review this learning at home.
