Principal's Report

Dear Parents,

What an exciting week it's been at St Leonard's!

This week, our Prep A students welcomed the Kinder children from Happy Seeds. It was a wonderful morning of sharing the fun and learning of our Perceptual Motor Program (PMP). Our Preps did a fantastic job of showing off their skills in throwing, balancing, and catching. Even more importantly, they demonstrated their ability to take turns, wait patiently, and encourage one another. It was a great morning filled with smiles and plenty of laughs, and we look forward to more shared experiences with our new friends from Happy Seeds throughout the year.

The countdown is on for our big Concert! There is definitely a buzz of energy around the school, and lots of dancing happening as we get ready to put on a great show.

A friendly reminder that tickets are limited. If you would like to purchase more, please contact the office. We've also had a few questions about the school day before and after the concert. We will be operating as usual, but you are welcome to make adjustments for your child if you wish. Please send a Seesaw message to your classroom teacher to let them know.

Finally, thank you to everyone for your diligence in the carpark. We've seen so many people using the designated and supervised crossing. A friendly reminder to continue following all road safety rules, practicing patience, and helping to keep our entire community safe both at the Springvale Road carpark and on Allen Street.

Congratulations to Shravani!

The NAB AFL Auskicker of the Week is a special weekly award given throughout the AFL season to celebrate exceptional young participants in the Auskick program. Each week, one lucky nominee is selected from Auskick centres across the country and announced during the Friday night footy broadcast. These weekly winners get the unforgettable chance to be part of the Grand Final celebrations - including walking in the parade and playing on the MCG during halftime.

Last Friday night, we were thrilled to see our very own Shravani from 3/4G named as the NAB AFL Auskicker of the Week! Shravani was even interviewed by AFL great, Joel Selwood during the broadcast.

Congratulations, Shravani - we’re incredibly proud of you!

Here are some highlights from an unforgettable night.

Congratulations to Leah Mariampillai on being the Rotary Club Champion writer for 2025!

Leah wrote a 500 word essay about the theme - Let Us Hop for Peace. As Champion, Leah has invited by the Rotary Club of Monash Glen Waverley to come with her parents and a school representative to the Youth Presentation evening as our guests.  The President will present Leah with her Champion certificate and a $200 Book voucher from Robinsons, The Glen. Also the St Leonard's representative staff member will be presented with the Perpetual trophy to be held for the year and a $250 Voucher for library books from Robinsons, The Glen.
