As you will have seen from the communication that has gone out this week, we are excited to share the full plans of the capital works that our school will be beginning later this year. Should you have any questions or wish to find out more, please attend the information session on Tuesday 16th September at 8:30am.
We look forward to welcoming you this afternoon to the Art Trail and Book Fair from 3:30pm. There will be sausages, soft drinks available for purchase and an extraordinary array of artwork to enjoy from your children.
A huge congratulations in advance to Dani and Alison who have worked tirelessly to allow this event to come to light, especially given it being much earlier in the year than originally planned.
The Book Fair, in the library, also has a huge range of great titles for ordering. Well done to Jen for her work in organising this and supporting students this week to browse and dream!
Both Soccer Teams into State Finals!
I am excited to share that, post the message in the last newsletter about our boys and girls winning the Division Soccer Championship, they have now taken out the Regional Championships for soccer this week. I am sure you'll agree this that is a remarkable result for both teams to be in the best 8 teams in Victoria. It's a strong reflection of the talent, hard work and excellent support of and provided to our students from home at Rob in coaching them. We wish them all the very best for next Wednesday!
House Athletics
Congratulations to all students who qualified for the District Athletics Championships next Monday. Our House Athletics were an enormous success thanks to all parent helpers that supported the event, and to Yemi and Jordy for their exceptional organisation and execution.
Congratulations to the Hampton dads for taking out the Battle of the Boots on Saturday by 5 points. There was a huge turnout, which was wonderful to see, cheering on both teams, and a highly competitive game throughout. Many thanks to anyone who donated items for the Silent Auction and to all who helped out throughout the day. A special thanks to Ben Stevens for his organisation of the event.
Please note that the parking at the Hampton Maternal Child Health Services on Hampton St is strictly for customers only. I have been informed that council will be patrolling this week at drop off and pick up times to ensure it isn’t being used by our families. I appreciate you keeping these spaces free for their patrons.
Thank you to all families who worked so hard on costumes for Book Week. Despite unfortunately missing the parade, walking around the school throughout the day, it was incredible to see the creativity of students and families in recreating characters.
