Dear Parents, 

ST AIDAN'S OPEN DAY

Our Open Day last Tuesday, 3rd March, was a wonderful success, with St Aidan’s welcoming many new families through our doors. Our Year 5 and Year 6 students proudly led guided tours and visiting families shared glowing feedback about how confident, well mannered and enthusiastic our students are. It was clear how proud they are of their school. 

We were also delighted to welcome many siblings of our current students, who were excited to see familiar faces and explore the classrooms and playgrounds they have heard so much about. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a positive celebration of our school community.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Last Friday Mrs Baker, our School Captain Amelia and Vice Captain Gabby attended the Women’s Well International Women’s Day event at St Brigid’s Parish Coogee. This event featured four remarkable local women who shared their stories relating to the 2026 theme, ‘We Give, We Gain.’ The event was hosted by The Women’s Well Eastern Suburbs, facilitated by Dr Marjorie O’Neill, MP for Coogee. This was an inspiring and meaningful celebration of womanhood, leadership and intergenerational wisdom.

As we mark International Women’s Day, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate our incredible female staff who contribute so much to life at St Aidan’s. Their dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to our students enriches our school every single day. We are truly fortunate to have such strong, compassionate and inspiring women guiding and supporting our learners.

I would also like to recognise the many remarkable women in our students’ lives, mothers, grandmothers, carers, aunties, sisters and other role models who shape, encourage and inspire them. The values, strength and kindness these women model play a powerful role in helping our students grow into confident, capable young people.

International Women’s Day reminds us of the importance of celebrating the women who uplift our community and we extend our heartfelt thanks to each of them.
