THANK YOU

And just like that, Term 1 is almost finished…

I wish all families a blessed Holy Week and Easter celebration. 

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the St. Aidan’s community for such a warm welcome. It has been an absolute delight. The children always greet me, “Hi Ms. Ma!”, families check in on me and show their appreciation for what I do and all the staff have all been very supportive. I am so grateful and feel so blessed to belong to this beautiful community. I am excited to continue meeting families and working with you in Term 2 and beyond. 

PRAYER BEAR

In Week 8, we had our Prayer Bear launch in Kindergarten. Aidan then stayed with one of our St Aidan families for the week. Mattia and Iliana shared that they prayed with Aidan at dinner time and bed time. They prayed for what they are grateful for, peace in the world, good health and for their family. They also thanked God for everything He has given them. 

It is wonderful to instill the habit of prayer in our children and that gift of faith which is just so precious. 

While waiting for Aidan’s visit, we would encourage families to assign a prayer bear from your plush toys at home and encourage children to pray. I have enclosed an easy bedtime and morning prayer above for reference. Praying is talking to God just like talking to a friend.

The Botany-Randwick Family Educators invite you to a Women’s Retreat to celebrate Mother’s Day on May 14, Thursday. More details to follow. 

ST AIDAN'S PLAYGROUP SESSIONS

Starting Term 2 we will be having PLAYGROUP SESSIONS at the Parish Hall on Thursday mornings from 9:00-10:30am. We would love to have our preschool children with their parents or carers for morning circle, storytelling and fun activities.

COFFEE TALK

On Wednesday, March 25, we had our 2nd Coffee Talk for the term which was open to all parents in the community. The intention for these gatherings is to make available opportunities where parents can make new connections as we continue to grow and nurture that sense of community at St. Aidan’s. 

It was really lovely to see parents making new acquaintances, parents discovering things they didn’t know they had in common with others and sharing experiences.

A big shout out to these parents who made it today. Romina (and little Hugo), Sam, Ryan and Maggie. I really appreciate that you took the time out to make it to coffee today.

We shall do this again next term and I look forward to having other parents join in the coffee talks next time!
