Foundation News

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Another vibrant week has passed in our Foundation Year classrooms! Our students have been fully engaged in their learning, exploring various subjects with enthusiasm and curiosity.

In Numeracy, last week, the children enjoyed creating simple charts about themselves, depicting information such as the number of boys and girls in the class, the variety of eye colors, and their favorite colors.

This activity not only honed their graphing skills but also encouraged them to analyze and interpret data about their classmates.

This week students are looking at patterns and have begun by exploring and creating their own patterns.

Last week, the students in Foundation had a blast bringing their favourite books to show and tell.

They were so excited to share stories about their favourite characters which have linked into our Literacy focus looking at the ‘Who/Characters’’ in the story.

This week's baby photos have provided some laughs and fun looking at themselves and trying to make the same cute face.

In Religion this week, we've started learning about Lent. We're exploring what Lent means and why it's important.

Through stories and activities, we're helping the children understand this special time.

We encourage you to chat with your child about Lent at home too.

Feel free to share any family traditions or thoughts about this season.

Thank you for your continued support!

Remember, Foundation Information Home Reading Night is next Tuesday!
