Performing Arts

Foundation and Grade 1/2’s have been engaging in different activities aimed at developing a greater curiosity for the Performing Arts. 

 

They have been recognising and playing simple instruments, such as egg shakers and the triangle, encouraging the synchronisation of play.

 

Students have also been practising singing and playing in tune with popular nursery rhymes.

 

Grade 3/4’s and 5/6’s have been participating in many rhythmic activities. 

 

They have learnt about body percussion, untuned percussion and various dynamic games which has taught them important skills within the Performing Arts, such as finding and keeping the pulse, responding to cues and playing together as an ensemble.
