The 5/6 students have continued using their name and using symmetry to create artworks this fortnight. 

Students learnt about radial symmetry and a brief history of mandalas as an art form. Students used their name, traced and re-traced several times to create a radial image like a mandala. 

Here are a few examples.

 

 

The 3/4 students completed their rollercoaster name artwork. 

Last week we focussed on running a critical eye over our art, re-doing some details, adding a backing colour and some border work. 

 

 

The 1/2 students also worked on finishing off and final presentation of their spiral name artworks. 

We talked about colouring in a way that left no white spaces, cutting out neatly around outlines and gluing down properly around the edges of our work.
