Grade 5/6 News

This week, 5/6 students explored their inner conversation in Reading. 

During this time, students read a range of books and monitored the conversation taking place in their head, whether that be connections, questions or emotions evoked.

Students are also learning to recognise the strategies we can use to comprehend texts and make meaning. 

They have been using their understanding of texts to engage in rich discussions. 

Students are also in the process of publishing their first piece of writing for the year, a poem based on the themes of emotion and community.
