A Message from the Principal

Living Well Learning Well  (LWLW)

The Living Well Learning Well Framework helps students and staff understand the roles and responsibilities each member of our school community has to make our school a great place to be. Classes have discussed the important key statements of this framework: I am Safe, I am Valued, Respected and Cared for and I am a Learner. After these discussions each class has clearly written about how they will be Living Well and Learning Well during 2024.

Stage 2 students know how to be Safe at School.

Year 1/2 showcasing how they are learners.
Year 1/2 showcasing how they are learners.

Year 5/6 students state how they are Valued Respected and Cared for.

Important Dates for your Calendar

Professional Learning opportunities for staff are vital to provide the best possible education for your children. For this reason we have a number of Staff Professional Learning Days set for this year. We have tried to set these dates after already gazetted holidays to cause less disruption to families & the school term. Please note students do not come to school on these days:

Tuesday 2nd April (after the Easter Long Weekend)

Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th April (after the Term 1 holidays)

Monday 22nd July (after the Term 2 holidays)

Monday 14th October (after the Term 3 holidays)

Staff also meet regularly after school for Professional Learning. This afternoon all staff will complete a course on Safety Intervention where they have learnt how to respond to various levels of crisis behaviours.  Through online learning and practical sessions staff have learnt to maximise safety and minimise harm for all our students. Thank you to CSO staff for facilitating this course: Geraldine Chapman, Amanda O Halloran, Tim Unwin & Amanda Sheridan.

Have a wonderful week
