PEACEFUL KIDS PROGRAM

We are very excited to be continuing with the Peaceful Kids Program at Lysterfield Primary School in 2024 in our ‘Zen Den’ after our first parent session for the year last night. Peaceful Kids is a Mindfulness and Positive Psychology based small group program that aims to lessen anxiety and stress and increase resilience in children.

This program helps children to build their emotional resilience so they are better equipped to deal with the day to day stresses that life brings them. The sessions include learning a range of mindfulness strategies and meditations, effective coping strategies and positive psychology exercises.

Bronwyn Philipp (Education Support) and Kim Bedford (Counsellor / Social Worker) will be running the program with small groups of children from Grades 2-4 starting from next week. If you are interested in your child’s name being put down to participate in future Peaceful Kids programs please have a chat with their classroom teacher.
