Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) Applications

The Department of Education Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you have a valid means-tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card, or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.

Payment amounts this year are $150 for eligible primary school students. Payments are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions, and sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing at the school in 2024.

If you would like to apply for the first time, or have any further questions, please speak to the office staff.

Financial Support For Families

Scoresby Primary School understands that some families may experience financial difficulty, and offers a range of support options including:

  • State Schools’ Relief provides support to any Victorian student attending a government school (primary, secondary or specialist) with uniform. Applications are processed by the school on the family’s behalf.
  • Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund provides payments for eligible students to attend camps, sports and excursions (refer above for more information).
  • Flexible payment arrangements.
  • There are also many outside agencies who can assist families in need.

For a confidential discussion about accessing these services, or if you would like to discuss alternative payment arrangements or organise a payment plan for 2024, contact Tina Clark, Business Manager on 03 97637484, or email Tina.Clark@education.vic.gov.au

Working With Children Check/ Child Safety Code Of Conduct

Any volunteer working at Scoresby Primary School requires a valid Working With Children Check and must also complete a Child Safety Code of Conduct form. This is a government requirement and is essential to ensure the safety of the children at our school.

The Working With Children Check card must be presented to the school office before any volunteering can commence; this includes canteen assistance, sausage sizzles, assisting during school fundraising events, reading in classrooms,  etc. A Working With Children Check, as a volunteer, is free to apply for, just go to Working with Children Check | vic.gov.au (www.vic.gov.au)

The Child Safety Code of Conduct is a policy that must be signed by all volunteers who are working in schools; this can be collected from the school office.

Anyone volunteering at school must first sign in at the office where they will be given a lanyard to wear for the duration of their visit. Signing in is essential as, in the event of an emergency, we need to know who is on our school premises.

Sick Bay Linen Roster - Volunteers Needed

Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to assist with the Sick Bay linen. This special task requires helpers to change the Sick Bay bed linen - only one bed - at the end of each week, take home used linen for washing and return clean linen the next week. With plenty of volunteers, this job can be shared around across the term/s.  This is a necessary job to ensure the health and safety of all students who might use the First Aid Room and we appreciate the assistance of those parents who generously help out with this.

If you would be able to help, please call in at the Office or email raelene.davis@education.vic.gov.au
