2024 Swimming Carnival ~ Tuesday 27th February

A perfect day greeted the Swim Carnival, with vibrant coloured clothing, great tunes, delicious food from VM and of course, lots of swimming. The day was exciting to be a part of, for both students and staff, giving all a chance to have fun and socialise, building school spirit for the year ahead.

Students took the chance to race in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and relay events. The day allowed swimmers to do their best and hopefully qualify for district swimming in Orbost just 2 days later. Well done, to all who participated throughout the day; even the novelty events became competitive with their eligibility for house points being available.

Congratulations to everyone who qualified for the next representative level. It was great to see students giving it their all in their chosen events. Many thanks go out to all staff and students who made the day possible. A great team effort exemplifying the BSC school spirit, beautifully.

East Gippsland Swimming Sports ~ Thursday 29th February

We had 23 students travel to Orbost to represent our college against 5 other schools from our district. With such a tight turnaround from the school carnival, the group should be so proud of themselves, giving it their all and displaying such a high standard of behaviour.

It was great to see some of the students take on some leadership roles on the day also, with Patrick, Ashley, Jami, Lola and Cooper helping out when it was needed.

Special mention to Ashley, Ruby, Rylan, Cooper, our 12-13 boys relay Freestyle team, and 17 boys Freestyle relay on their 1st places during the day.

Twelve students have qualified to compete at the Sale Aqua Energy Centre next week Thursday 14th March. We wish them the best of luck at the Gippsland Region Swimming Sports.

Give it your best!
