P.E - Auslan - STEAM

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Whilst Mrs Waldron was absent on Long Service Leave, the Junior students were lucky enough to participate in a Minor Games unit facilitated by the CRT. Students played a range of games focusing on their ability to follow rules, share equipment and provide positive feedback to teammates and opponents.

Our Middle and Senior students have continued with thier Touch Rugby clinics, organised through our Sporting Schools Grant. Students have developed their understanding of the rules and strategies required to prepare them to play an actual game.

LOTE - AUSLAN

Due to Mrs Waldrons absence on Long Service Leave, there has been no Auslan classes for the past 3 weeks.

We are looking forward to starting to learn the lyrics for our signing song that we will be performing at our end of year concert!

STEAM: Science, Technology & The Arts

We have completed our Picasso faces in the 3/4's and 5/6's and they look AMAZING! They are all on display in the STEAM room along with the juniors Rainbow Serpents an Magic Hats.

Our Physical Science units have begun and it has been great starting our learning in the different areas.

Junior School has begun learning about Sound and how vibrations are how we hear sound. We are learning how our ears help us to understand the vibrations and send messages to our brain.

3/4 - We are looking at Forces and are exploring them through hands on activities, including recording our observations and asking ourselves why we think things are happening. We are looking at gravity, air resistance, boyancy and friction.

5/6 - We are looking at Light and Shadows and are also exploring hands on activities and recording our observations and asking ourselves why and what is happening.
