Parent Contributions 2026
Did you know that we have 6 of these trolleys with 20 laptops in each - that is 120 laptops in total, plus the classroom set of desktops - 26 in total. And every classroom has an interactive eBoard - another 24 items.
This is one example of where Parent Contributions are spent, in leasing these items for your children and teachers to use. These all enhance the access to the curriculum, improve student learning and provide for different learning styles.
2026 Color Run
Please support the JPPC (Parents Committe) by registering your child and supporting this fun fundraising activity. The Color Run is a highlight every year and is a vital to raise the funds to support school development.
Last year the Parents Association raised enough money to allow us to put in the new Gaga Pit - which has been a smash hit with the students.
2026 School Council
In 2026 we will lose a couple of School Council parent representatives, as their children exit the school after Year 6. So we will be looking for a few interested parties.
If you had a thought about being on School Council, you are invited to come and have a chat to me or AP Kellie Stewart.
Important Reminders / notes:
Friendship Flowers & Parent Requests for Class Placements in 2026: Please note the comments below from Kellie Stewart (AP).
School Works: Apologies for the inconvenience around the Homestead DR entry way - these works should be completed by Tuesday next week, providing the weather holds steady.
Please note that we will also be having some concreting works done at the main entrance to the Admin Building at the start of January. This should only impact families attending TeamKids during the holidays.
Are you Leaving??
At this time of the year there are always some families that are looking at alternative schooling, working and living arrangements. For whatever reason, if you are leaving the school please let us know ASAP. We always have high interest from people wanting to enrol in our school, so the sooner we know of any departures the sooner we can offer spots for 2026.

Friendship Flowers
Next week, all students will complete Friendship Flowers. Each child will be asked to choose five friends and record them on their flower. This helps us ensure that every student is placed with at least one friend in their new class for 2026.
We encourage parents to talk with their child over the weekend about the friends they may wish to include. These conversations can help children feel confident and thoughtful about their choices.
Important Reminders for Families
- Parent requests are not considered when creating classes.
- Please trust our professional judgment. Class placement is a complex process that takes into account:
- Gender balance
- Academic ability
- Behaviour and social dynamics
Our goal is to create balanced, supportive, and thriving learning environments for all students.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we carefully design classes for the year ahead. With the Friendship Flower activity, every child will begin 2026 with familiar connections and the opportunity to build new friendships.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Kellie Stewart
