Uniform Update
Dear Parents and Carers
As we look toward 2026 and beyond, we’re excited to share important updates to the Clayfield College uniform, which has been designed to reflect our spirit and meet the evolving needs of our students.
Over recent years, we have taken deliberate steps to ensure our uniform is modern, inclusive and continues to represent the contemporary Clayfield experience. In terms of our sports range, we’ve also taken the opportunity to introduce advanced performance fabrics that offer breathability, durability, and freedom of movement for our athletes.
Transition Period Conclusion
School Uniform, HPE Uniform and Representative Sport Uniforms
In 2023, with the introduction of boys into our Secondary School for the first time in the College’s history, we launched a new co-educational uniform range that honoured our rich history while meeting the needs of our current students. This occurred after extensive consultation with Old Collegians, parents and carers, staff and students.
As we moved to this new uniform, we offered a transition period to allow families time to purchase items at their convenience. As previously communicated, the transition period for the School Uniform, HPE Uniform and Representative Sports Uniforms will conclude at the end of the 2025 school year.
From the beginning of 2026, all students will be required to wear the items outlined in our Uniform Policy and Representative Sports Uniform Guidelines linked below.
Sustainable Uniform Options
In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, families are invited to donate any superseded Clayfield College uniform items. Collection points will be available at Main Reception and Primary Administration from Monday 1 December 2025 until the end of Week 1 in Term 1 (Friday 6 February 2026). Through our strong community and Old Collegian networks, these items will be donated to schools in the South Pacific region.
Introduction of the New House Polo and House Bucket Hat
At the start of 2025, I encouraged our students to harness their House Spirit - to bring the joy, energy, and connection of Arts Day into everyday College life. Our students responded wholeheartedly, making 2025 a standout year of House pride, unity, and friendly rivalry.
You may have noticed updated signage across the campus, celebrating our House System in the Primary School precinct, Secondary School precinct, and within the PE Centre.
To build on this momentum, I am delighted to announce the introduction of a newly designed House Polo and House Bucket Hat. These designs showcase each House’s colours, strengthening the sense of belonging across the College.
- House Polo: Worn for all interhouse competitions, activities, and events (HPE uniform remains for HPE lessons).
House Bucket Hat: Complements the look, offering sun-safety and a clear display of House affiliation.
Transition Period:
- A one-year transition will run throughout 2026.
From 2027, students must have the new House Polo and House Bucket Hat (compulsory for Junior School, optional for Senior School).
Availability:
Items will be available for purchase from the Uniform Shop from Term 1, 2026.
One of the highlights of Speech Night on Tuesday was the Class of 2025’s gift of House Spirit Flags - a lasting symbol of pride and unity representing each House. These flags will be displayed in the Foundation Courtyard and proudly showcased at interhouse events for years to come. Thank you to our Class of 2025 for such a meaningful contribution!
Uniform Shop Extended Hours and Ordering
The Uniform Shop will operate at extended hours for the remainder of Term 4 and the commencement of the 2026 as per the below:
- Monday 24 November 2025 to Friday 28 November 2025: 8:00am to 2:00pm
- Monday 1 December 2025 to Friday 5 December 2025: 8:00am to 2:00pm
- Monday 8 December 2025 to Friday 12 December 2025: 8:00am to 2:00pm
Monday 19 January 2026 to Friday 23 January 2026: 8:00am to 2:00pm
