OSHCLUB News
This week at OSHClub, our mornings were warm, tasty, and full of energy!
For Breakfast Club, we enjoyed crispy hashbrowns, delicious egg-in-a-hole toast, cosy hot chocolates to help us start the day, and flavour-packed breakfast burritos. It was a lovely way to come together each morning and share a calm and welcoming start to our day before school.
In the afternoons, our Snack Squad served up some wonderful choices to keep us fuelled and happy. We had pasta spirals, colourful cracker and veggie platters with dip, freshly homemade spinach and ricotta scrolls that were a huge hit, and mini pizzas that everyone enjoyed.
Our creative activities this week were full of imagination and hands-on fun. We tried guided drawing and sculpted our own clay animals, made DIY keychains to take home, and worked together to build detailed Lego villages. We also crafted popsicle people, made animal masks, and designed recycled robot crafts using everyday materials, it was amazing to see how many ideas came to life from just a few supplies and lots of creativity!
For our physical activities, we kept ourselves active and engaged with a big range of group games. We enjoyed silent ball, footy, rugby, soccer, dodgeball, and of course plenty of friendly rounds of Gagaball. Whether indoors or outdoors, there was always something to run, kick, throw, or cheer for!
A highlight of the week was our special cooking activity: making our very own rocky road! The children loved choosing ingredients, mixing everything together, and creating a delicious treat to share. It was wonderful to see teamwork in action and lots of very proud and excited mini ch
Science Meets Art Day!
We had an exciting Science Meets Art day at OSHClub, where curiosity and creativity came together! The children explored hands-on experiments including erupting volcanoes, the classic coke and mentos explosion, and fizzy trays that bubbled and popped with colour. We also created vibrant artworks using coloured ice and tried a magical “milk firework” experiment, which helped demonstrate how soap works and why hand washing is so important. It was a day filled with discovery, learning, and lots of scientific fun!
Halloween at OSHClub
We had a fantastic time celebrating Halloween! The children got creative making paper chain skeletons, flying bats, and spooky ghost kites to decorate our space. Everyone got into the spirit by dressing up in costumes, which brought lots of smiles and laughter to the day. To top it all off, we enjoyed some delicious pumpkin-themed waffles and pancakes for a festive treat. It was a wonderful celebration full of creativity, colour, and Halloween joy!
Staffing Changes
As many of you will already know, Leyla has stepped into the Coordinator role over the past few weeks. We really appreciate everyone’s support during the change, and it’s been lovely to see the children settle so smoothly with a familiar face leading the program.
We’re also excited to welcome Olivia as our new permanent educator! Olivia is new to OSHClub and we’re delighted to have her join our team. She brings a warm, friendly energy and is already getting to know the children and our routines. Olivia enjoys creative and hands-on activities, and we’re looking forward to the wonderful contribution she’ll bring to the program.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
