It’s been a wonderful week of learning, exploration, and growth in Foundation
In Writing, students are learning how to extend their sentences beyond just who and what to also include when and where. It’s been great to see their writing develop as they build more detailed sentences.
In Math, students have continued to deepen their understanding of place value through a range of hands-on activities. This week, we will be introducing play money to explore numbers in a fun and practical way.
In Religion, students concluded our ‘I Am Special, So Are You’ unit with liturgy, where their confident reading and participation were a joy to see. This week, we begin a new unit ‘Celebrating Jesus’ Birth’ as we start to prepare for the Advent season.
Students also enjoyed listening to stories about life in the 1900s. They were fascinated to compare what life was like then with their own experiences today, noticing both the similarities and the many differences!
During Sport, students had a fantastic session with Sam from Pulsate. They enjoyed learning acrobatic movements and discovering new ways to move and control their bodies with confidence and coordination.
