Congratulations

Congratulation to one of our 2024 Arts Captains Tahlia Fisher and one our 2023 Arts Captain Willow Womersley. Their artworks have been chosen to be published in Bianca Stawiarski’s children’s book. 

Bianca is expanding "Gami Winda and Dyindi-Dyindi" which was the children’s book that students from both Ocean Grove Primary School and Leopold Primary school illustrated as part of Charter Hall’s Leopold Plaza NAIDOC week ‘Drawing Us Together’ competition during 2023. The new edition will be titled "The Adventures of Gami Winda and Dyindi-Dyindi” and will feature a collection of the Author's Favorite story-inspired artworks from across the country.

50 artworks were chosen across 21 centres nationally. Given the outstanding quality of Willow Womersely and Tahlia Fisher’s work, Bianca believes that they perfectly capture the spirit of the story and would be valuable additions to the book.

The children’s story book will be published internationally and may be nominated for national and international awards.
