We're Into the Rhythm

Mr Sloan

I am delighted to welcome all of our Year 9 and 10 students as we embark on the exciting journey of 2024.

The beginning of Term One can often bring mixed emotions, especially for new students as they adjust to the rhythm of school life once again after the long summer break. However, Iit brings me immense pleasure to witness how swiftly our students have embraced the new academic year with enthusiasm and vigour.

I am committed to working closely with the two year groups and their families to ensure a nurturing environment where they feel safe, supported and valued. Please be in touch if you need my help in anyway via Direqt SEQTA messaging.

We have a calendar filled with exciting events that promises to make Term One a memorable one:

  • February 22: Swimming Carnival
  • February 29: Gandhi Parent Sundowner
  • March 19-20: NWAS One Day Carnivals

This term, our focus theme of RESPECT will emphasis respect for ourselves. We believe that recognising one's own worth and prioritising self-care is fundamental for fostering resilience and confidence. By cultivating a positive self-image and establishing healthy boundaries, our students lay the groundwork for personal growth and success.

I urge all students across from both Year 9 and 10 to maintain the positive momentum they have built in these initial weeks and harness it to stay motivated throughout the term.

With a positive mindset and unwavering focus, they have the potential to not only meet, but surpass, their goals and expectations. I welcome the opportunity to support them to achieve their goals.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with our students throughout the year, supporting them every step of the way as they strive to reach their full potential.
