Friendology

Kindness, Respect & Empathy for all.

My name is Louise Jarvis and I am the new Wellbeing Specialist Teacher here at Vermont Primary School. This year I will be building on the Wellbeing program and working with whole grades, small groups and individuals to increase resilience, communication skills, emotional literacy and stress management strategies.

As part of the Wellbeing Curriculum, we will be exploring a program called Friendology. This program will help students navigate the ups and downs of healthy friendships, manage stressful situations and build their own self-esteem and confidence. You may have taken part in an online parent information session last year.

Friendology is a whole-school friendship strategy and curriculum and has improved the social climate in schools around the world, connecting over a million kids, parents, and teachers with a common language of friendship.

As part of the Friendology Program, families have access to a free parent membership. Here you will find hundreds of resources including tips and tricks, articles, podcasts, activities and more.

By clicking the below link, you can follow the steps to create your own family account.

In the coming weeks, we will be offering parent information sessions, where together we can explore the website, look at some of the resources used in the classroom and answer any questions or concerns you may have in relation to student wellbeing at Vermont Primary School.

If you have any concerns or questions surrounding student wellbeing or Friendology, you can contact me via compass.
