2024 School Council Elections

School Council Election Process for 2024

This document outlines the School Council Election process for Roxburgh Homestead Primary school.

The principal will issue a notice and call for nominations on the 16th of February 2024. For parents, this notice will probably be given to your child so you may need to check with them whether it has been sent home.

If you decide to stand for election, you will need to arrange to be nominated and seconded by persons who are eligible for the same category as you will stand for. The principal can provide information about these categories.

Once the nomination form is completed, return it to the principal within the time stated on the notice of election.

If there are more nominations received than there are vacancies on council, a ballot will be conducted in the two weeks after the call for nominations has closed.

The timeline for school council elections is as follows.

NEW LUNCH ORDER PLATFORM 2024

We're excited to share some upcoming changes for the new year. The canteen services will resume on Monday, February 5th, 2024, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We are constantly striving to enhance your experience, and to streamline the ordering process, we will be transitioning to a new online ordering platform called QuickCliQ.

QuickCliQ is designed to make ordering meals easier and more convenient for our community. This new platform offers user-friendly features and improved functionality, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both parents and students. We believe this transition will bring about positive changes and enhance the overall canteen experience.

Camps, Sports and Excursions (CSEF)

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.

The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

If you applied for CSEF 2023 and received funding, there is no need to reapply.  You will be automatically rolled over.
