News From Mr Smith

Dear School Community Members,

We have come to our last edition of our newsletter for the year! 

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all students, families and staff for their dedication, commitment and efforts during the year. Manifold Heights Primary School has had an extremely successful year, and this is due to the efforts of everybody associated with it. 

We have a wonderful school, and we can be proud of our students and the terrific things they do.

This week we will be farewelling some students, families and staff who will not be with us next year, and we trust they thrive in their new schools and new endeavours. Each of these students, families and staff members have made a significant contribution to our school community and we thank them for their time with us at Mano.

Have a great last few days of the 2023 school year!

Year 6 Graduation: I wish all our Grade 6 students and our Senior teaching team the very best for tonight’s Graduation ceremony. The high majority of these 61 students have been attending Mano for seven years and their contribution to our school is extremely impressive. I wish them well as they move onto secondary school.

Student Reports: Our Student Reports will be available through Compass tomorrow (Friday, 15th December) from 4pm. If you would like a ‘paper copy’, please contact the Office to make a request as soon as possible.  If your child is exiting Mano at the end of the school year you have until 20th December to access reports on Compass.  After this date, your access to Compass will expire.

End of Year Celebration – Friday, 16th December: Tomorrow is our End of Year Celebration at 9:30am. Each year level will perform a Christmas Carol or item, culminating with the Year 6 students performing their Graduation Song. Students will come to school dressed in their clothing for their item. We extend a warm welcome to all families to join us.

School staff commence:                                           Monday, 29th January 2024

Grade 1 to Grade 6 students commence:        Wednesday, 31st January 2024

Prep students commence:                                     Thursday, 1st February 2024

• Wednesday, 20th December           Last day of school year – 1:30pm dismissal
