Graduate Outcome Awards

Last week, students from each class in F-6 were presented with COURAGE Graduate Outcome Awards.

Students who graduate from St Therese’s Primary School are people of COURAGE, who are inclusive and make responsible choices, even when it’s difficult.

Celebrating Great Teaching at St. Therese's

We are so proud of the care, thought and energy our teachers bring to their classroom each day. They bring careful planning, professional learning and a commitment to helping every child grow.

One way we are supporting this work is through StepLab, a professional learning tool that helps our teachers keep improving their practice in small and focused ways.

As part of StepLab, our leaders regularly visit classrooms for short 'drop-ins'. These visits are about noticing the many positive things happening in our learning spaces.

At the moment our shared focus is on the way teachers positively acknowledge students who are meeting expectations. This helps students understand what is expected, recognises positive choices and gently encourages others to do the same.

These small moments help to maintain our calm, positive classrooms where students feel safe, noticed and ready to learn. We are grateful for the professionalism, dedication and care our teachers demonstrate and for the wonderful difference they make for every student in every classroom, every day.
