Music with Emily
Music plays an important role in children’s growth and development. Beyond learning to sing or playing an instrument, engaging with music supports academic achievement, social connection and emotional wellbeing. It helps students build skills that extend across all areas of learning and everyday life.
This semester's whole school music performance has been inspired by our Musica Viva incursion earlier this term. The performed radio show, 'We're on Air' has lead to songs and jingles being learned and reimagined in music classes, ready for our own performance.
You are invited to join the MBPS students for an afternoon of singing and playing. 'Children Sing' will commence at 2:30pm next Monday (June 22nd). A special encore performance will be be held on Tuesday, at 11:30am, for families of children from Lakeview Kinder and Playgroup.
