Music with Emily

Term 2, 2024

World Music Day

World Music Day, is celebrated every year on the Winter (or Summer) Solstice in June to honour singers and musicians. On this day, amateur and young performers get an opportunity to perform live in front of an audience.

We are celebrating World Music Day on Thursday 20th June at 1pm with class performances of what students have been learning in music classes.

The P/1 and 1/2 students will share their beautiful singing voices (accompanied by ukuleles from 3/4 and 5/6).

The 3/4 class will demonstrate their amazing new ukulele skills.

Students in 4/5 and 5/6 will entertain with performances on chair drums.

Parents and families are welcome to join us in the undercover area to help us celebrate World Music Day.

Dress Up Day

On Friday 21st June our SRC students would like to also celebrate World Music Day by hosting a dress up day. Come as your Favorite Musican.  Funds raised will go towards Hair with Heart. Hair with Heart is a national fundraising and hair donation program run by Variety.

Please see a direct link below to one of our students fundraising pages for this fabulous cause.
