Term 3

  • Mon 15 July - Curriculum Day
  • Tue 16 July - First day of Term 3 for students
  • Wed 17 July,  Mon 22 July, 29 July, 5 August, 12 August, 19 August, 26 August - Circus Skills class sessions 
  • Wed 24 July - CERES excursion, depart HPS at 9:00 am; students take nude food snacks, lunch and water bottle and a raincoat in case of rain
  • Thu 25 July, 1 August, 8 August, 15 August, 22 August - Circus dance choreography class sessions
  • Mon 29 - Wed 31 July - Mt Buller optional ski trip
  • Wed 21 August - Beauty and the Beast optional musical (TBC by Traci)
  • Wed 28 August - Circus Skills production, day rehearsal and night performance
  • Fri 23 August - House Athletics Carnival
  • Fri 30  August - Back up day for House Athletics Carnival
  • Wed 4 September - Year 6 graduation photo
  • Wed 18 September - Tentative Year 6 Sustainable Design Expo (TBC)
  • Fri 20 September  - Last day of term, assembly and early 2:30 pm dismissal

Term 4

  • Mon 7 Oct - First day of Term 4
  • Puberty Clues is a sexuality education program and this curriculum is mandated by the Education Department as a part of Health. An information evening for parents only will be offered before the program begins. The program will consist of one session per week for each class, over three weeks. Details will be communicated via a Compass event as soon as the dates have been confirmed by the facilitator, Gair Miller.
  • Fri 25 Oct - Twilight Carnival
  • Tue 5 November - Melbourne Cup Day
  • Thu 14 November - Big Day in Jnr (STEAM event, all day)
  • Tue 10 December - Year 7 Orientation Day for Year 6 students going to government schools
  • Thu 12 December - House Swimming Carnival, Years 3 - 6, GESAC
  • Fri 13 December - Carols during the school day
  • Mon 16 December - Graduation was orginally posted in the Compass calendar as happening on Wed 11 December, but is no longer on that date. The graduation lunch will now be on Mon 16 December @ HPS at12:00 pm, and the ceremony will be on the same day @ Brighton SC at 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  
  • Other post graduation fun activities will be organised in this week but have not yet been determined
  • Fri 20 December  - Last day of term, final Y6 assembly and early 1:30 pm dismissal
  • There will be a curriculum day at the end of the term but the date has not yet been decided.
