Term 2, Week 11
Dear Parents and Carers,
As Semester 1 draws to a close, I would like to thank our teachers, students and parents for making it a success. Our students have shown incredible dedication and enthusiasm in their learning, demonstrating remarkable growth and achievement. A special thank you goes to our teachers, whose passion and commitment have been the driving force behind our students' successes. They have continued to inspire, nurture and guide our students through their academic and personal development. Thank you to our parents for all their support and efforts in supporting our school program and ultimately for supporting our students' learning journey. We look forward to the second semester, where we will remain committed to working together to ensure continued growth and success for all.
Thank you to the families who attended Parent Teacher Conversations this week. It was a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and achievements this semester. We had 662 families attend the 2 evenings. Your active participation and engagement are crucial to the success and development of our students. By taking the time to discuss your child's progress, strengths, and areas for growth, you help us create a more supportive and effective learning environment.
Today we joined as a whole school community and celebrated mass together. We acknowledged our refugee families who have joined Our Lady’s school community. We also said farewell to Fr Alex as he is moving on from Our Lady’s into a new role in the Eastern Region. Although Fr Alex has only been with us for a short time, he has had a positive impact on our whole school community. We wish him all the best in his new role.
A big thank you to all our families for your generosity in donating food items for St Vincent De Paul. As a school community we collected 1403 items. Your kind contributions will be a great comfort to the many families in need in our community. All students received an icy pole as a thankyou for their efforts, needless to say we had 700 very happy students.
Wishing everyone a restful break and see you back at school on Monday 15th July.
