Year 7 Update

Year 7 Joint Journeys

On Wednesday 19 June, our Year 7 students will participate in ‘Joint Journeys’ a unique initiative that fosters a sense of community and shared learning. This full-day event will take place at Firbank Grammar School and will involve collaboration with 16 of Firbank Grammar School's Year 7 Student Leaders.

Throughout the day, our students will engage in a variety of enriching wellbeing activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social wellbeing. The itinerary includes a friendly volleyball match to encourage teamwork and physical fitness, calming yoga sessions to promote mindfulness and relaxation, an engaging drama workshop to stimulate creativity and expression, and a creative library activity where students will create art from old library books, combining literature and artistic expression.

This event is not only a fantastic opportunity for our students to build connections with their peers from another school, but it also allows them to network, form new friendships, and gain exposure to a different educational environment. By interacting with the student leaders from Firbank, our girls will have the chance to learn from their experiences, share insights, and develop their own leadership skills.

We are also looking forward to hosting the Firbank students at our school next term for a continuation of this enriching experience.
