Global studies
The year 3-6 students ended the term of studying French by sampling vol au vents with creme de citron (lemon curd). They have also had fun this term learning basic French language including greetings and numbers. Other highlights have included researching the geography, history and famous places of France. In preparation for viewing the Olympics in Paris, students also learnt about some of the events of the games.
Music
Students in Grade P-2 have enjoyed rehearsing and performing songs and their accompanying games this term. Recently learnt songs have included "Button You Must Wander," "Bluebells" and "Caterpillar". Students have learnt to draw basic symbols to represent notes and to play instruments to accompany songs and rhymes used by cultural groups in the local community.

Students have had a great term creating ceramic and textile masterpieces!
STEM
It’s been another great term in STEM! Students have been learning about microscopes (their parts and how to use them correctly), created and designed their own signature sustainable shoe, created their own hybrid animal, completed a variety of engineering tasks based on popular fairytales, designed and built their one of a kind toy and learnt about different forces including magnetism, gravity and friction! Well done to all students on their enthusiasm and effort throughout the term!
