Reflecting on Stellar Semester in Grade 5!

This term, our fantastic Grade 5 students embarked on a fascinating journey through Australian history! We delved into the Colonial era, exploring the lives of iconic figures like Henry Parkes, Mary Reibey, Ned Kelly, Bennelong, and many more.

To showcase their newfound knowledge, the students took on the challenge of creating their own biographies! It was a joy to see their creativity flourish as they brought these historical figures to life using engaging formats like Google Sites, presentations, and even eye-catching posters.

In the world of Literacy, we explored the power of poetry! We delved into the captivating world of songs, ballads, and odes. We focused on esteemed Australian authors like Banjo Patterson, but also ventured beyond borders to appreciate various styles. Inspired by these literary greats, the students crafted their own poems, beaming with pride as they shared them during our recent learning celebration.
