FUNDRAISING UPDATE
A massive thank you to everyone for your support with fundraising this year. Most recently we appreciate your contributions to the pie drive and colour run. We have purchased a large order of decodable texts to support our phonics and reading fluency approaches utilising the funds from the Mother's Day stall. We were also able to significantly enhance this order thanks to a very generous, one-off donation from the Peterson Family. (Pictured above are Prep students reading two of the new texts).
STAFFING NEWS
We have recently made two appointments to our staff team. Katie Geerings has been acting in the role of Learning Specialist and has now been appointed to this role substantively. We have also added Emily Ash to our Education Support team. Emily is studying teaching and has been working with the I CAN network facilitating mentoring programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We also welcome back Jess Chapman from family leave. Jess will initially be teaching in Kristy Merrett's place for most of Term Three whilst Kristy is on Long Service Leave.
PARENT PARTNERS
Thank you to those parents who are supporting classrooms in the role of Parent Partner. At this point we don't have parent partners for the following classes. 1A, 1B, 3/4D, 5B, 5C, 6A, 6B and 6C. Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to take on this role or if you would like more information.
