Primary School
Year 4 Protecting and Serving our Community
In Year 4 we have been looking at rules and laws, and how they can be used to serve and protect the people in a community.
As part of their assessment for the unit, students worked in a group to develop solutions to problems that could be seen around a fictitious town. Students had to decide on a law that could be created to keep things fair, keep people safe, or protect vulnerable people.
Students then created signs to share this information with the community and made a diorama with solutions in place to help enforce the law they created. Students had fun creating their signs on a computer and creating physical representations of their suggestions in their diorama.
