Production Ticket Sales 2025

Dear Murrumbeena PS Families,

Tickets to the upcoming whole school Production of ‘Madagascar Jr. ' with the Prep - Year 3 showcase “Rhythms of the Jungle ” go on sale on Monday 28th July 2025, at 9:30 am.

All tickets are $35. According to theatre regulations, children under 2 are admitted free of charge but must sit on a parent's lap.

Initially, every family (not student) may purchase up to 2 tickets per family. This is to ensure all families get tickets.

Note: Murrumbeena students who are performing DO NOT need a ticket

Families will have 2 weeks to purchase their 1-2 tickets. After this, all remaining tickets will be available for general purchase from Monday 11th August, until sold out. If you do not purchase your allocated 2 tickets before the general sale on Monday 11th August,  you may miss out on getting any tickets.

While we understand that many families would like to purchase more tickets, our priority is to ensure that all families have the opportunity to purchase at least two tickets. We don’t want any family missing out. We appreciate your support on this. The production will be professionally filmed, with DVDs and USB drives available for purchase.

Tickets are sold through the theatre box office. Please follow the link below to purchase.

Which seats should I choose when purchasing tickets?

Robert Blackwood Hall is a beautiful theatre and every seat has a great view of the stage. However, some classes perform more towards one side of the stage, and therefore you may wish to purchase tickets that are on the same side as your children. Below is a guide to help you when selecting tickets. Again, all seats have a great view of the stage. This is just a guide. If you have multiple students in different classes, you may wish to purchase tickets towards the centre.

When sitting in the audience facing the stage, these classes are towards the left side of the theatre: Prep K, Prep C, 1K, 2R, 2K, 2N, 3A, 4M, 5S, 6L

When sitting in the audience facing the stage, these classes are toward the right side of the theatre: Prep B, Prep H, 1D, 1S, 2T, 2C, 3B, 4B, 4M, 5P, 6M

When sitting in the audience facing the stage, these classes are towards the centre of the theatre: 3M  and 4G

NOTE: 5C and 6C will be mixed across the whole stage

More information regarding the dress rehearsal and performance will be coming soon.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for our wonderful production.

Production Badges - Celebrate the Magic of Every Show!

Wondering how production season could possibly get even better?

Imagine having a fun, collectible keepsake from every show you've been a part of!

Something you can proudly wear to say, “It’s production term – let’s go!”

Well, great news – Production Badges are here!

This year, the Year 6 Arts Team is excited to design and sell custom production badges. These colourful badges can be worn on your school uniform, clipped to your bag, hat, or pencil case, or proudly displayed at home.

Want to complete your collection? We’ve got you covered!

Past production badges from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2004), Shrek (2023), and even Aladdin (2022), will also be available.

Special edition badges are also available for Dance Captains, Cast, and Crew. Just select the production badge you need when ordering, and we’ll make sure the right one is issued upon collection.

Each badge is only $2 and can be purchased through the Qkr canteen app. A limited number will also be available at the school office. Once your badge is ready, the Arts Team will let you know when to collect it from the Performing Arts Room.

Hot tip: To avoid lost badges, we recommend writing your name and grade on the back using a permanent marker.

Let’s celebrate every production – one badge at a time!
