From Your P&F

Year 9 and 10 Parent Function - Friday 22 August

Come and join us for a night at the Cyprian catching up with friends old and new. Details and Tickets available in the Blue and Gold section of the newsletter.

Walkathon – this Sunday 10 August - Volunteers Needed

A huge thank you to everyone who has signed up for a volunteer role for the Walkathon. It takes about 100 volunteers to make things go smoothly on the day, and make sure there is plenty of food and refreshments available for all of our student and family walkers as they return.

We still have some high priority asks to fill. Please sign up before Friday if you can help:

  • Canteen, BBQ and coffee service 10:00am-11:00am: Peak hour for food service. Whether new to canteens or a master of chip service this is a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced crew feeding a grandstand full of hungry people. Very satisfying!
  • Canteen, BBQ and coffee service 11:00am-12:00pm: Still plenty of people to serve while the Battle of the Bands concludes and families start heading home.

Walkathon - Boot Swap

If you have an old pair of football boots that no longer fit, bring them along to the Walkathon Boot Swap located near the Slushie Van at the Cyprian end of the McMahon carpark. Simply leave your old boots under the Marquee and pick up another pair if you see something else that fits. Surplus boots will be donated to Tread Lightly. There is no charge to participate - either to leave a pair, or pick one up. A QR code will be available for anyone who would like to made a donation to the Walkathon.

Walkathon Menu and Price List

Coffee will be available in the Yard during walker registration. Everyone is welcome to stay around to help send off the walkers with coffee, canteen and OMG donuts on offer at the Grandstand to warm up your clapping hands.

After the walk, don’t forget Battle of Bands. Canteen, Slushies and OMG Donuts will all be open.

Sports Canteen – Saturday 9 August

Thank you to our parent volunteers for their time in the canteens on Saturday 2 August - Vanessa Altun, Bec Ambrose, Belinda Caesar, Emma Ferguson, Rowena Hardiker, Callum Howell, Dee Hyde, Katrina Laughton, Jackie McGuinness, Joanne Russo, Monica Willoughby.

Please sign up for an hour behind the canteen if you have a game at MCA this Saturday 9 August. Just one hour per term if you have a son playing sport is all it takes to keep the food and refreshments flowing for our MCA and AIC families. Many thanks
