100 Days of School Celebrations!
Wow! How time flies. Our Foundation students have just completed their 100th day of school.
We had a day full of fun activities to mark this amazing milestone and I think it's fair to say that we all had a fantastic day.
Dressing up like elderly ladies and gentlemen was really fun and we used a special aging app to make our faces match our costumes. There were many giggles when we looked at our photos and all of our wrinkles!
Activitites
100 Year Old Me
The students wrote about what it would be like to be 100 years old, and there were some very funny responses :-)
Smartie Biscuits
Because we are such clever little people, we made some yummy biscuits covered in smarties. They were super yummy!
Keeping Fit and Counting By 10s to 100
Next we went onto the Basketball Court and did 10 repetitions of different fitness activities. The children really enjoyed the push ups and lunges, but I preferred the arm circles and torso twists :-)
STEM activities using 100 objects
To finish off a fantastic but exhausting day, the children participated in 4 different STEM activites using only 100 objects. These were:
1 - Stack 100 cups to make the highest tower you can
2 - Using 100 lego bricks, make the digits for 100
3 - Create a domino fall pattern with only 100 dominoes
4 - Make a long trail using 100 unifix blocks.
