Principal, Ms Alex Montgomery

Welcome to Term 3

We’re excited to welcome our students and families back for what promises to be a fantastic Term 3! There’s so much to look forward to, including our annual Athletics Carnival, the Premier’s Sporting Challenge, 100 Days of Kindergarten celebration, Book Week Parade, Year 5 Camp, and DUGS Breakfast.

Staff began the term with a valuable Staff Development Day, engaging in mathematics professional learning, collaborative planning with colleagues, and preparing for a successful and engaging term of teaching and learning. We’re ready for a great term ahead!

We are currently trialling changes to our whole school timetable regarding lunch and eating times. This trial aims to ensure we meet the required teaching hours, increase meaningful classroom learning time, and better support positive student behaviour in the playground. We will monitor the impact of these changes closely and appreciate your support during this time.

Athletics Carnival

Our annual Athletics Carnival was a huge success today.  The sun was shining, and students across all year levels showed incredible enthusiasm, determination, and school spirit as they competed in a range of track and field events. It was heartwarming to witness the encouragement and support students gave one another, with great sportsmanship and teamwork on display throughout the day.

One of the most special moments was seeing students receive their ribbons during the carnival, celebrating their achievements right then and there, smiling with pride, and taking them home to share with their families. Whether it was a first-time participant or a seasoned athlete, every student contributed to the vibrant, positive energy of the day.

A big thank you to our dedicated staff for organising the event, a big shout out to Mr Todd Cooper, Mr Kyle Brewis, Mrs Deb Chapman, and Mrs Bec Baird and to the families who came along to cheer from the sidelines. Days like these remind us of the importance of community, healthy competition, and celebrating individual and team effort.

We look forward to seeing some of our students represent the school at the upcoming zone carnival!
