Year 5 Update – Christmas Art and Upcoming Exhibition

Year 5 students have been busy getting into the festive spirit early as they complete their Christmas artwork entries for this year’s diocesan art competition. As part of this creative process, students have been reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas and exploring Scripture passages that highlight themes of hope, peace, and the birth of Jesus. 

They have planned their artworks carefully, experimenting with colour, symbolism, and texture to visually represent their chosen Scripture and personal reflections. Some students have used watercolour washes and fine-liner detailing, while others have worked with pastel blending or mixed media techniques. We can’t wait for you to see their work on display!

Families are warmly invited to our Art Exhibition at school on Wednesday 13 August, where these artworks will be on display alongside pieces from other grades. We hope to see you there!
