Spotlight on Learning in Year 1 & 2

This term, our Year 1 and 2 students will be diving into the fantastic world of skipping! It's an incredible activity that not only significantly boosts their coordination, cardiovascular fitness, and balance, but also sharpens their rhythm and focus.

Skipping is a fundamental movement skill that provides a fun way to improve overall physical literacy, helping children with everything from playing other sports to everyday movements. To help your child master these exciting new skills and continue their progress, we highly recommend purchasing a simple skipping rope – even an inexpensive one from places like Kmart will do the trick! Practising at home between classes will make a big difference.
