Then Science Festival 2025 is for you!

 

Now in its 11th year, the University of Melbourne’s Science Festival offers a jam-packed week of free events designed to inspire and engage students who love science, innovation and discovery.

 

Program Highlights:

 

🕵️ How to Think Like a Spy – The Science of Intelligence

6 August | 6–7.30pm | Science Gallery & Online

Explore how data, maths and science are used to detect deception, monitor global threats, and protect Australia’s security. Recommended for ages 16+.

 

🔬 Behind the Science Lab Experiences 

5.30–9.00pm | Parkville Campus

Tour the Uni’s cutting-edge science labs and fascinating museums after hours. See science in action!

11 August - Tiny, energetic and weird: particle physics tour

12 August - Lights, chemistry, action!

13 August - Force and Flow: where motion meets innovation

14 August - Flora, fauna and TIGRR: the past and future of biology
