How to Book Tickets

Tickets will be available via https://www.trybooking.com/DDHDN from 7:00pm on Monday 4th August. We encourage families to book early so not to miss out.

There are two levels of seating Stalls/Lower and Balcony/Upper. Attached is the seating map for your reference.

Please note: Bookings are final and non-refundable, so we recommend checking the cast list and your availability carefully before purchasing.

Being Community Conscious

To ensure everyone has a fair chance to attend, we ask families to be community conscious in their bookings. If seats were evenly shared, it would allow for around 4-5 tickets per student. Whilst this is not a hard limit, we kindly ask that families keep this in mind during the first week of ticket sales to help ensure every child has someone there to cheer them on. We understand that some families may need fewer tickets, and others more. We trust that our community will book with fairness in mind.

Accessibility

There are a number of accessible seating options available on the lower (stalls) level, marked with the accessibility symbol when booking. These are ideal for those using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. If you require accessible seats and they have already been sold and are no longer showing as available, please contact the school. If anyone in your booking group requires additional accessibility support, please contact the school prior to booking so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.

Cast Lists

Below is the cast list for lead characters and prep students, showing their allocated performance. Please check this before booking your tickets. Grade 3-6 students are in the ensemble for both performance nights.

Production T-Shirt

We're excited to offer a special Matilda Jr. t-shirt for students involved in this year's production! These t-shirts are a fun keepsake and a great way for students to feel part of the cast and proud of their contribution.

T-shirts are not compulsory, but students may enjoy having one to wear during rehearsals, for some of Term Three on special production days, and as a reminder of this exciting experience.

How do I order the t-shirt?

Orders can be placed via TryBooking - https://www.trybooking.com/DDHDI and are due by Friday, August 8th. The t-shirts cost $25 each. This is a short turnaround, so if you're interested, please submit your order as soon as possible.

What is the t-shirt design?

The t-shirt will be black with a custom design printed on both the front and back. A design preview is attached so you can see what they'll look like.

Please note: Fonts, logo size, and small design details may vary slightly in the final printed t-shirt.

Can I choose a different quote for the back of the t-shirt?

The default quote for 3-6 students is shown in the above design preview. If you'd prefer the alternative quote listed, please make your order and contact the school via email. The Prep quote cannot be changed.

What size t-shirt is my child?

Please refer carefully to the attached size guide when ordering.

Refunds cannot be provided for ordering of incorrect sizes.

When can my child wear their Matilda Jr. t-shirt at school?

At school, students will be able to wear their t-shirt from when they arrive until the end of Term 3. They can wear them to the dress rehearsal day and performances. Outside of school, they're welcome to wear it anytime as a fun reminder of the show.

Costume update...

Prep students

Please refer to the prep page in the Wonga Weekly for information on your child's costume needs. All Prep students will need to bring their costume to the dress rehearsal day on Wednesday September 3rd (not to school any earlier than this day).

Grade 3-6 students

  • Most students have now tried on part or all of their costume. We will be finalising the Grade 4s and some other roles this week.
  • The students will be receiving their costume on the day of the dress rehearsal - Wednesday September 3rd.

  • Everything they need will be inside except for the following:

Grade 3 and 4 - all students will need to provide their own white socks (long or short) and runners (any colour) for the performances.

Grade 5/6 students - if your child is wearing a school uniform for the production (in the chorus or in a main role) they will need to provide their own black shoes and white socks (long or short). Black runners,  school shoes, or simple black shoes are fine. Please check in with Mrs Salisbury if you are unsure or need support with this.
