RSC Success Stories

Congratulations Bruce!
It might’ve only been 4 days ago, but as you can see it was a HUGE moment for Bruce.
At only 10 years old he got his very first state time in the 100 breaststroke at the @surreyparkswimming SC Meet!
What a milestone for this rising young swimmer!
Since joining RSC in August 2023, Bruce has come such a long way. His first formal meet was the Metro Junior Districts in 2023 at just 8 years old, and he’s been making waves ever since!
Bruce’s highlights include:
1st Metro Junior 50m backstroke
1st SSV 9-10yr 50m backstroke
and to top it off Bruce has been selected to represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia Championships in Ballarat.
We are so proud of how far he’s come in such a short time, and we know this is just the beginning! Go Bruce!
Congratulations Meike!
Meike has been selected to represent Metro East District Swimming Club this weekend at the ACT Short Course Championships. Selection was based on her performance at the Metro East District Swimming Championships held earlier this year.
In addition to getting an extra week of school holidays, she will be in residence at the Australian Institute of Sports in Canberra, rubbing shoulders with some of the top athletes in Australia and gaining valuable tools and skills to advance her swimming journey, in and out of the pool.
Good work, Meike!
