These assessments are not for reports but enable the teachers to have a starting point to track each student’s learning and progress.
The dates for these rest days are listed below:
Wednesday 4th February
Wednesday 11th February
Wednesday 18th February
Wednesday 25th February
Wednesday 4th March
Prep Assessment Bookings
During the Wednesday Rest Days, each student in Prep is required to attend one 45 minute meeting with their teacher, so that some initial assessments can be completed. These assessments are not for reports but enable the teachers to have a starting point to track each student’s learning and progress.
Bookings for these interviews can be made by either scanning the QR code displayed on the door through which your child enters the school or using this link
On the day of your child’s appointment parents are asked to drop their child off at the front office for these assessments. You are welcome to wait in the Community Space while your child is working with their teacher.
2026 CLASS LOCATION MAP
To accommodate our growing student numbers, we have expanded our Learning Spaces this year. Over the past few months we had several new classrooms delivered and fully connected to all the services. These classrooms are located on the Embelton Av side of our building. With the ramps now completed our Year 4s have moved into these new learning spaces. Landscaping around the classrooms will be completed shortly and a new set of toilets will be installed in the coming months. Please see the image below for the location of our 2026 classes.
MORNING DROP OFF TIME REMINDER
A reminder to families that the school grounds are not supervised by staff until 8:30 am. Families who are dropping their child off earlier than this are required to make a booking with our Before School Program. Information about this program which is run by Quantin Binnah from our School Hall can be found in this newsletter or by contacting the school office.
We have noticed that there are some students who are entering the school grounds via the Hall Gate as early as 8:00am, this gate should only be used by students accessing the Before School Care Program. Students entering the school grounds before 8:30am are unsupervised and not inline with our Child Safety Policies. Parents will be contacted if students are in the school prior to 8:30am and will be asked to make alternative arrangements for the morning drop off.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
A Before and After School Care Service is available onsite and is run by Quantin Binnah. To access this service students must be registered prior to attending. All registrations and enquiries should be directed to Quantin Binnah by calling 9742 5040 or visiting the Quantin Binnah website - http://qbcc.org.au for further information.
