Visual Arts News

Welcome to Visual Arts 2026. We are excited to meet everyone. This space is designed to celebrate student creativity and share what’s happening in our visual arts classrooms. Each edition highlights student artworks, creative projects, painting, and opportunities to explore new ideas and techniques.

As we start the new year, we’d like to take the opportunity to introduce the Visual Arts team. Happy creating!

My name is Miss Manning, and this is my third-year teaching at Tarneit Rise Primary School. I am originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand, and I have always had a strong passion for arts and crafts. I love exploring different ways to express creativity, whether it’s through drawing, painting, building, or experimenting with new materials. I’m really excited to work with you this year and can’t wait for us to create, explore, and learn through many different types of art together.

Kia Ora! My name is Miss Lee. I am from Aotearoa, New Zealand, and this is my fourth year of teaching. I am so excited to make beautiful artworks with you this year! When I’m not at school, I love making my own art, especially pottery and drawing portraits. I also enjoy baking, reading, and exploring Melbourne. I fell in love with art through children’s books and especially love Eric Carle’s bright, colourful collages and Claudia Lam’s cute illustrations. I look forward to seeing you around the school.

My name is Miss Lalita Bailey, and I am thrilled to be part of the Tarneit Rise Primary School community as a Visual Arts teacher. Originally from London, England, with a proud Jamaican heritage, I am deeply passionate about education and bring eight years of experience teaching across the primary and foundation curriculum. As both a dedicated teacher and a practicing artist who has led various community murals and workshops, I am excited to foster a vibrant environment where all children can thrive. I officially joined the team at the end of last year and look forward to spending the rest of 2026 helping our students develop their skills, express their creativity, and have a fantastic time learning together.
