Year Five/Six News 

Welcome Back from the Senior Learning Centre!

Year 5/6 students have settled back into school routines beautifully, and it has been wonderful to see such a positive start to the term. We are excited to kick off the term by setting clear learning goals and working together to achieve them.

In Writing, students have been exploring creative language features such as juxtaposition and similes, and it has been great to see them experimenting with interesting word choices in their work. In Maths, we are focusing on place value as a way to warm up our thinking and ease back into school life with strong number foundations. Our reading routines are also well underway, with students building consistency and independence each day.

A big well done to the students who are already completing and logging their reading homework, fantastic effort! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings as we continue to learn, grow, and work towards our goals together.
