Year Two News 

What an incredible start to the year! Year 2 students have settled in to the year so well. They are ready for an action packed year of learning and fun. Students have began the year revising expectations across classrooms and in the yard. They enjoyed sharing and writing about their school holidays through recounts and writing a range of reading responses about the book 'Stellarphant'. 

In Maths, students have been participating in some hands on activities to investigate two and three-digit numbers. Ask your child how to play 'Break the Bank' and have a go at home! 

Some things to note...

• Students will need an art smock at school if they do not already have one
• Student diaries will be sent home in the next two weeks however, readers will not be sent home until Week 4. In the meantime, we encourage students to read other books from home and write this in their diaries. Students are expected to bring their diaries each day.
